SOMESHA is ravenous to join the press moan against the killing of Malaysian journalist

The Somali Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) is delighted today to welcome the look like fair-mindedness statement from the African Union Mission for Somalia (AMISOM) though SOMESHA is kindly requesting the fighting sides to respect the freedom of press and the access of information.

A journalist Noramfaizul Mohd Nor was shot to death on September 2, 2011 even as another journalist called Aziz Reza Mazlan injured. The following link is NUSOJ’s quick response on the incident, http://www.nusoj.org.so/alerts/Sept2011/NUSOJ_welcomes_AMISOM%27s_involvement_of_the_death_of_Malaysian_journalist.htm

The Somali Coalition for freedom of Expression (SOCFEX), Somalia Foreign Correspondents Association (SOFCA), Federation of Somali Journalists (FESOJ) and the National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) did official and fairly keynote statements to mark their position for AMISOM’s reaction.

The Somali Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) is absolutely welcome the response from the African Union Mission for Somalia (AMISOM) and calls fair and independent follow-up on the incident as soon as possible.
