The Somali Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) concerns the deadly attack against Somalia students outside the office of the ministry of higher education in Mogadishu today.
A heavy bomb blast has killed at least 115 people most of them were students and their parents and many others wounded, in one of the country’s deadliest ever suicide attacks, the chairman of SOMESHA’s supreme council Bashir Mohamed Abdilkadir said.
“I was immediately turned to the window just to confirm what has happened and see a huge smoke over Somalia’s ministries compound and decided to close the office and run away from our office which is not much far from the ministries compound at km4 in Mogadishu” Mr. Bashir added
AlShabab official who gave an interview to the AFP news agency said one of the group’s fighters had carried out the attack though the spokesman of Somalia police force, Colonel. Barise told the media that the suicides’ was Kenyan citizen saying they have his documents found from his pocket.
Obviously, no one could confirm till tomorrow the result of the incident and the Somali Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) is continuing to investigate the case by contacting the families and the minister’s also.
