The Somali Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture
(SOMESHA) excited to disseminate that its chief honorable Daud Abdi Daud Dhimbil strives to start the writing of a new book concerning the journalist’s condition globally and titled “Praise Press” on Saturday February 18, 2012.
Celebrating on his birth day, from Nairobi, Mr. Daud said”I was born
in Mogadishu, the capital city of Somalia especial the mother and
child hospital better known as Banadir hospital on February 18, 1982
so I think now I am very mature and everyone has his right to be
bright in this world through freedom and flexible manner with good
“The planet is moving robotically, and I fanatically, decided to write
a historic book on the media future nationally, regionally and
globally so as to contribute in the media field something tangible
before my give up work or pass away” Mr. Daud added
He started to work as journalist from late 2000 and works many
different radio stations and newspapers in the country. He was
instrumental in the creation of the Somali Coalition for Freedom of
Expression (SOCFEX) and also a Press Freedom Activist from 2007 at The Somali Journalist Rights Agency (SOJRA) as well as Science, Health, Agriculture and Environmental reporter at the National Association of Somali Science and Environmental Journalists (NASSEJ) now known as Somali Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) and New Science Journalism Magazine based in Germany.
Daud is an active, prominent Somali journalist who is currently the
secretary general of the African Federation of Environmental
Journalists (AFEJ) and a member of the International Federation of
Environmental Journalists (IFEJ), International League of Conservation Writers (ILCW), Arab Science Journalists Association (ASJA) and theNetwork of Climate Journalists in the Greater Horn of Africa (NECJOGHA) as well as several social media networks.

Mr. Daud is country coordinator of the United Religions Initiative
(URI) which is an international interfaith organization based in the
